OCEAN "Pantheon Of The Lesser" CD/LP November 11, 2008
Finally after nearly 3 years of work and anticipation Ocean's Pantheon Of The Lesser will be released on November 11, 2008.  Ocean's debut release Here Where Nothing Grows quickly became Important's highest selling record as Ocean crossed the country and the records received tremendous commercial praise. In all possible ways Pantheon is and will be a bigger record.

We have a split 12" with CONIFER coming out soon on Important. The song on
our side is called Durance Vile and is a tribute to our beloved home town of
Portland, Maine. Conifer's track is called "Building State Empire", and is
killer! This is gonna be out really soon.
Our new full length "Pantheon of the Lesser" is pretty much done, we are
going back into the studio to mix soon. It will feature Yosh from Bloody

february 2006---------------------]

Sorry It's been a while since our last update. We will try to stay more
current in the future.
The Fall tour was great. Lief did a hell of a job filling in on guitar. We
would like to thank everyone who helped us either by booking, letting us
crash on thier floor, buying some merch, or simply showing up. We sincerly
appreciate your support.

The first pressing of Here Where Nothing Grows is sold out, but the second
pressing is still available through the store section of the site. The
double vinyl version is coming very soon. It will be limited to 500 200gram
double record sets with a heavy stock letter-press sleeve. It will include a
bonus live cover song on the 4th side which was recorded last fall at Geno's
here in Portland and features Lief on guest 3rd guitar.

We are currently booking a full US tour for April/May 2006. We just retired
our old van, the ARK, and aquired a newer, yet unnamed one for the upcoming
venture. Confirmed dates are posted in the tour section. Please get in touch
if you can help fill in a few of the gaps. We will see you soon.

november 2005-------------------]

We recently went to Tsunami Sound, Portland ME and recorded a cover of "You're not real, Girl" for an upcoming Swans tribute album. An mp3 clip should be available soon in the Media section.
We are still waiting for the master of the full length and no release date has been set as of yet, but it should be out sometime this spring.
We have a few shows in the works for March and hope to be spending some time on the road in April and or May check the Shows section for more info as it becomes available.

december 2004---chicago-----]

The tour went relatively well...
We had a good time, played some good shows, got drunk, did alot of driving, made some friends, had van trouble, made a record and lost a drummer.
~ The Volume Studios recording went well. We were pressed for time so we didn't get as much done as we had hoped, but plan to do the finishing touches here in Portland at Tsunami Sound sometime after Christmas. The album is tenatively titled Here Where Nothing Grows and consists of 4 songs total running time approx. 55+ minutes. The official release date is still up in the air, it should be out sometime next spring. A clip from the rough mix is available for download here.
~ Will, our drummer, unforetunately quit seconds after the Providence show.
He will be missed. We are currently working with a new drummer and hope to be playing out again early next year and back on the road in the spring.
~ New photos and reviews are up in the MEDIA section.

october 2004------------recording------]

We will be in Chicago Nov 8th, 9th & 10th recording for an upcoming 12" to be released on Important Records and we are looking for shows on the way there and the way back...
Email us if you have any ideas. cheers, Reuben.
