(Important) is a short set of four improvisations
from 12-string guitar-phenom James Blackwell and
13 course Baroque lute player Jozef Van Wissem,
working as BRETHREN OF THE FREE SPIRIT.
Their music is non-narrative, inhabiting a delicate
realm of interpolation of free-form British folk and
ancient string music. Apart from the disconcertingly
stuttering instrumental dialogue of the opening track,
the album offers simple chiming beauty overlying
subtle drones.
