The Grails’ instrumentals float over the land like a malevolent fog.
The music is light and airy but one can’t ignore the doom and gloom
that attaches itself to the listener dragging them into narcotic slumber.
Much of this is played by acoustic instruments; banjo, bouzouki, 6 & 12
string guitars, vibes, sax and piano and partly brings to mind
Godspeed You Black Emperor, but The Grails exude a heaviness that one
would associate with electricity. Seven of these tracks were released as hard
to find 12” singles on small European labels, this CD combines those with 2
more tracks in a similar but lighter style to complete the prophecy.
