To consider this as the most easy and commercial record from Larsen it wouldn’t be the ture
Which is that this band is always daring and never trite but with a clear melodic approach and a
noble romantic feeling around it. So the whole feeling of the record is not in the clattering and
the mistery of the first song "The snow" but more in the thin padding of "Mother" (Slow that
soon becomes Dive) or in the wonderful poppish strings carousel of "Rever", that is the best
song not included in Kate Bush' comeback", with Julia Kent and Jarboe' voice You can also
find waves of drones washing the cliff at the end of the world, as in the final 12 minutes of "Marzia"
with some additional sounds by Lustmord, but we feel that the future will be in the melody, even
if behind feedback or krautrock changes A great band: you say Larsen, I Seies.

A considerarlo l’album più accessibile dei Larsen, si farebbe torto alla realtà. Che è quella di un
gruppo sì avventuroso e mai banale, ma con una vena melodica evidente e un romanticismo nobile
intorno. Così, più che il mistero e i legni torti dell’iniziale The Snow, sono l’ovatta fine di Mother
(Slow che diventa in un attimo Dive) e il girotondo d’archi (Julia Kent) meravigliosamente pop di
Rever, con la voce di Jarboe a renderlo il brano migliore non compreso nel ritorno di Kate Bush, a
caratterizzare l’intero lavoro. Non mancano i flutti drones o gli affacci da scogliera alla fine del mondo,
come nei dodici minuti finali di Marzia, addizionata dai suoni di Lustmord, ma la sensazione è che il
futuro risieda nella melodia, seppur transennata da feedback o linee kraute. Un gran gruppo:
